New York Fashion Week 2016: Favorite Collections

New York Fashion Week just ended and I saw some incredible designs on the catwalk. There were many amazing works of art, but I found these designers to have some of the best in my opinion: Rodarte, Jonathan Simkhai, and Zimmermann.

These three designers had similar collections in that the colors were mostly white and cream. I love how delicate and whimsical these pieces are. I especially love Rodarte's collection because what girl doesn't love a little bit of sparkle? The models' charming hair accessories were a great touch and it gave the looks even more of a whimsical vibe. Obviously there were many more collections that debuted during NYFW, but these were my absolute favorites!

Beauty Buzz: World's Most Beautiful Lipstick

I often come across some beauty products that are causing a lot of hype on the internet. I had to do a post on this particular product because I think it's one of most prettiest things I have ever seen.

These lipsticks are from a brand called Kailijumei. The top image is from their Summer Simplicity Set and the bottom ones come individually. I've seen some reviews regarding these lipsticks and a lot of people were saying how they were disappointed that the colors don't coincide with the name of the lipstick. However, if you read their website carefully, it says that these lipsticks are all pink shades and the name of the lipstick refers to the color of the flower inside. Also, it's important to note that these lipsticks are more like a stain rather than a lipstick. I think if you ever want to buy these, you should just get one of them because they all pretty much have the same color.

Regard of whether you'd buy one or not, you have to admit that these lipsticks are unique and beautiful. It's amazing how they came up with such an innovative product and I'm impressed with the concept of these lipsticks. From what I have heard, they also put some effort into the packaging as well.

What do you think of these lipsticks?

Favorite OOTW

I always see pictures of celebrities and their amazing outfits when they're just out and about doing normal (or not so normal) things, so I decided to do a post on some of my favorite looks I've seen this week. This week, I found these give ladies to have some of the best outfits!

(Pictured from left to right: Kaia Gerber, Rita Ora, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin, and Chrissy Teigen)

I love all of these outfits, hence why they are featured in this post, but I really love Kendall's outfit here. It's so edgy and although she's showing a lot of skin, it doesn't look too sexy. Wearing lingerie or something as delicate as lingerie as part of your outfit, like Kendall with her top, is something that's been popping up a lot recently. It gives you an excuse to wear them outside of your bedroom as well, which is always nice.

Style Inspo: Selena Gomez

Today's Style Inspo focuses on Selena Gomez. I don't think she used to be quite this stylish when she was younger, but recently her outfits have been looking on-point! She does often times wear just a t-shirt and pants, but whenever she puts some effort into her look, she comes out looking amazing. She also sports a lot of monochrome outfits so I love whenever she wears something colorful to change it up. From the image above, you can tell Selena likes her reds when it comes to color and I think red suits her perfectly.

She has stepped up her red carpet looks as well, although I didn't include any here today. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of looks she's going to wear at future award shows and of course her out-and-about outfits.

DUcare Makeup Brushes Review

DUcare has kindly sent me one of their brush sets to review. I first just want to say that all opinions are my own and I will always be honest about a product or brand. Also, keep reading until the end for a coupon code to get 35% off your purchase!

This set comes with 6 brushes: powder brush, foundation brush, eyeshadow brush, mid eyeshadow brush, small eyeshadow brush, and a lip brush.

My first impression was that I was surprised by the makeup roll the brushes came in, it's very sturdy and has a very nice clasp. However, it does have a really strong plastic-y smell and you can smell it right when you open the package. Leaving that aside however, since the main product is the brushes, the actual brushes are pretty nice. The bristles aren't as soft as my other brushes I already own such as my RealTechniques brushes, but it's not so bad either.

After washing and using, I found the foundation and powder brush to be rough on the skin. It is somewhat soft to the touch when you touch it with your hands, but it's a little rough on the face. I didn't really like applying foundation and powder with these brushes to be honest. The other brushes however, weren't bad. I didn't use the lip brush so I don't know how that one is, but the eye shadow brushes are really nice and they applied eyeshadow pretty well.

All in all, these brushes are average, not great but not bad either. They're really well made, but I just didn't like the foundation brush and the powder brush because the bristles are a little too rough for my liking. The eyeshadow brushes, on the other hand, are nice and I liked using them. If you're interested in purchasing this set or want to see their other products, click here to see their shop on Amazon. (The set I received is this one: click here)

Like I mentioned at the beginning of the post, DUcare has kindly offered all of my readers a 35% off discount code. Use the code X5A6SF77 at checkout to get the discount!

Japan 2016: Tokyo, Osaka, Nara

I recently just came back from my annual trip to Japan a few days ago. I always have so much fun going there and I just love the country so much. My parents and I were only in Japan for around 10 days, which is shorter than usual but it was still great nonetheless.

We first spent one full day in Tokyo. I've always wanted to see the "mirrored tunnel" going up inside the Tokyu Plaza building in Omotesando so that's where we ended up first. The building itself consists of retail stores like American Eagle, but shopping wasn't what I came here to do. I literally just wanted to take a picture of the mirrors inside haha. But look how cool!

We then wandered off to Roppongi and decided to go to Roppongi Hills to check out the amazing view. Here you can probably see one of the best views of Tokyo and Tokyo Tower. At Roppongi Hills, they actually had a Studio Ghibli expo happening on the same floor as the observatory! We weren't allowed to take any pictures of the exhibition, but I sneakily took one picture of giant Totoro, oops.

The next day, we headed back to the airport and flew to Osaka. Osaka is my favorite city in Japan and I generally just love the Kansai area. The food is great, the people are friendly, and there is so much history. I didn't take any great pictures while I was here though because I come back to Osaka every year so there's nothing really new for me.

Some days later, we went to Nara during the day to check out my grandmother's grave since she passed a couple weeks prior. It was a little sad seeing her and my grandfather's grave. The realization that now all of my grandparents were no longer on this earth hit me and it was a little upsetting to be honest.

After Nara, we just spent the rest of the time we had in Osaka and had a nice, wonderful time. The trip came to an end in a blink of an eye and soon enough we were at the airport ready to head home. We've flown ANA for the past few years now and I just can't say enough good things about this airline. If you ever want to come to Japan, fly ANA and you'll see why I love them so much.

Anyhow, that was pretty much my trip in a nutshell. It was way too quick for my liking but I'm sure I'll be back soon. I hope you all had a nice summer vacation too!
